The GDC 2009 Tweetup is an opportunity for game industry professionals to take some time out of hectic deadlines and discuss games, the industry, Twitter, and other forms of social media that are becoming more prominent within the gaming space. These forms of social media are driving more connected experiences with our peers, consumers and the media at large and the Tweetup brings it all together in one spot. In January an online directory site for all game developers on twitter was launched by Sam Houston, gamerDNA’s Community Manager. This list (GameIndustryTweet.com) features folks like Bill Roper at Cryptic, Raph Koster of Metaplace, Brett Close and Curt Schilling at 38 Studios, John Romero of Slipgate Ironworks, and companies like Electronic Arts and Infinity Ward.
